Bryce Harper

The American baseball player Bryce Harper is famous. He plays right field for the Washington Nationals in Major League Baseball. The team picked him in the 2010 Major League Baseball draft. He has shown that he is a good player during his time with them so far. Baseball America,, and Prospectus all put him in the top three of their lists of prospects. He was also chosen to play in the 2012 All-Star Game, making him the youngest position player ever to be chosen. In the same year, he won “NL Rookie of the Year.” Aside from the NL Hank Aaron Award and the Silver Slugger Award, he has won other awards during his career.

Growing up and early life

Ron and Sheri Harper had a son named Bryce Aaron Maz Harper on October 16, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nevada. There is a boy named Bryan.

After going to Las Vegas High School and getting his GED in October 2009, he was done with school. This meant he could be picked up in the amateur draft in June 2010, which would let him start his professional baseball career.

Harper began going to the College of Southern Nevada in 2010; it was in the Scenic West Athletic Conference. He stood out when he hit 31 home runs, breaking the school record of 12 home runs. Bryce was named the SWAC Player of the Year because of this.

He hit for the cycle, scored six runs on seven hits, and drove in five runs in the West district finals of the 2010 NJCAA World Series. He was kicked out of a National Junior College World Series game on June 2 after home plate umpire Don Gilmore called a third strike.

Career in Major League Baseball: The Washington Nationals picked Bryce Harper with the first pick in the 2010 draft. In the end, they agreed to a $9.9 million deal for 5 years. After that, he was picked to play for the Scottsdale Scorpions in the Arizona Fall League. He was the second-youngest player in league history after that. In 2010, he hit.343 and slugged.729, and he led the Scorpions to win in the Arizona Fall League Championship.

The next team he played for was the Hagerstown Suns in the South Atlantic Minor League. He hit.480, hit 7 home runs, 10 doubles, and drove in 23 runs. He was chosen to play for the United States in the 2011 All-Star Game weekend as his fame grew.

It was with the Washington Nationals against the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012 that he played his first Major League Baseball game. People really liked how he played, and in May he was named the National League Rookie of the Month. He kept playing well for the rest of the season and was named Rookie of the Year in the National League.

Bryce homered twice versus the Miami Marlins on the first day of the 2013 game. He was the youngest player in big league history to hit two home runs in his team’s first game of the season. Bryce Harper was twenty years old.

He was chosen to be in the 2013 Home Run Derby because he hit 13 home runs in just 58 games. He played in 118 games and hit.274,.368/.486 with 20 home runs,.58 RBI, and 47 extra-base hits. During the off-season, he had surgery on his left knee to remove a bursa sac, which went well.

During the 2014 season, he hurt his thumb and couldn’t play for a while. His return was in June, and he played in all 100 games that season. He hit.273 and had 32 RBI and 13 home runs. It was said that he would go to Japan after the 2014 season to play in the 2014 Major League Baseball Japan-All Star Series. He did, however, back out later.

In 2015, against the Philadelphia Phillies, he hit a 461-foot home run to center field. It was the biggest home run of his professional career. In a different game, he hit three home runs, which was the first time in his career. In the month of May, he won the Player of the Month award. Also in 2015, he was named the National League’s Most Valuable Player. He was the first player on his team to receive this honor.

Even though he played well in 2016, he was kicked off because he yelled at Brian Knight when his partner Danny Espinosa was called out on strikes. He got a fine and was suspended for one game. His batting average was.243, and he drove in 86 runs and hit 24 home runs during the season.

He set a record by getting a home run at PNC Park during the 2017 season. This was the 15th time in his career that he had done so.
